As I eagerly awaited the release Seattle's James Carr Band's most recent slice of roots rock pie, I was totally pleased with the warmth and vibe of this new track; "Summer." It feels a little like it lands somewhere in between Tom Petty, Skynyrd and Boston. Kicking off with a great little riff that recurs in the chorus, James vocals chime in with familiar themes of nostalgia, loss and an overall great sound.
